WiNTER AND FASHiON IN NYC –

New York in the winter just hits differently.

The air is sharp, and so are the outfits! The city somehow feels even more cinematic when you’re running between shows with frozen hands but a fire fit. Fashion Week in NYC isn’t just about the runway, but the side conversations, the fabrics and the pop-ups keeps the vibes so highhh!

Fashion Week in February is just so cozy! Everyone’s layered to perfection, long fur coats and statement boots. It’s less about skin and more about silhouette, structure, intention. Between shows, I found myself on these side quests at  pop-up parties networking with creatives, stylists, editors, PR girlies!

It reminded me why I love this city. It’s not just clothes. It’s culture.

Runway 7 Fashion Presentation

On 12th February, the energy of New York Fashion Week intensified as Runway 7 officially kicked off at Sony Hall in Manhattan. With a brand known for spotlighting both emerging and established designers on an international scale, the four-day showcase delivered a dynamic start to the season with a strong emphasis on global creativity and cultural exchange.

This season brought together more than 85 designers representing over 15 countries, transforming the Manhattan venue into a hub of diverse aesthetics and forward-thinking design. Collections ranged from contemporary ready-to-wear and streetwear to swimwear and couture, reflecting the breadth of talent shaping today’s fashion landscape. Each presentation carried its own narrative, blending heritage influences with modern silhouettes and experimental detailing.

Beyond the runway, the event elevated the experience with special performances woven between designer showcases, creating a seamless fusion of fashion and live entertainment. The atmosphere felt immersive and celebratory, reinforcing Runway 7’s role as a platform that not only presents clothing but curates moments. As the shows unfolded, it was clear that this season’s kickoff was about more than trends, it was about community, visibility, and giving global designers a stage at the heart of New York Fashion Week.

Frederick Anderson Runway Show AW26

Attending the Frederick Anderson show felt superrr elegant. The collection embodied luxury in a way that felt wearable but still commanding and structured with tailoring, rich textures and pieces that felt expensive without being overcomplicated. In my opinion, winter collections always show a designer’s technical ability. There’s more fabric, more layering and more room to play with. You can see execution more clearly. Sitting there watching the garments move in real time, I kept thinking about how important fit and structure are, especially in colder seasons when everything is built up.

A Stop at Katz’s Delicatessen…A NYC Staple Since 1888

In between fashion moments, I finally tried Katz’s Deli which was established in 1888, Katz’s has been around for over a century, which is kind of mad when you really think about it. So much of New York changes constantly, but this place hasn’t tried to reinvent itself and that’s what makes it special.

When you walk in, it’s busy, loud, a little chaotic, but in a way that feels authentic. The walls are covered in photos and memories, and you can tell it’s somewhere people have been coming to for years. Not just for the food, but for the homey vibes.

While making your sandwich, they give you some pastrami to try, and fr guys..it’s 10/10!

There’s something special and warming about going somewhere with that much history. Especially In a city that moves so fast, it’s rare to see a place that’s stayed consistent and still feels relevant.

The Fashion District

One of my favorite parts of the week wasn’t even a show. It was walking through the Fashion District, getting a feel of some fabrics, rolls of sequins and heavy wool. It was good to see fashion in its rawest form. Before the runway. Before the styling and applause. Just textures and imagination!
